Our Purpose

BrightPath Mentoring was created with a simple purpose - to help young people take positive steps towards greater confidence, independence and opportunity.

BrightPath was established by the Centre for Behaviour Solutions (CBS), a not-for-profit social enterprise that has been supporting children, young people and families since 2012. CBS was founded to provide high-quality child development services grounded in the best available evidence, with a particular commitment to helping autistic young people and those with learning disabilities develop the skills they need to live life to the full.

 

BrightPath grew from a shared belief that good mentoring can make a meaningful difference when it combines a strong, trusting relationship with practical support and evidence-based approaches. We wanted to take the knowledge and experience developed within CBS and apply it through an accessible, flexible mentoring service that meets young people where they are.

Our approach is person-centred, strengths-based and focused on real-life outcomes. Mentors work alongside young people to identify what matters to them and translate this into achievable goals—whether that means engaging with education, getting out into the community, developing friendships, building confidence, preparing for adulthood or becoming more independent.

​

Most importantly, BrightPath is about helping young people move towards the lives they want to lead, one achievable step at a time.
